Victoria Beckham Nominated for Best Designer Brand and Red Carpet Award at the 2011 BFA's

The nominees for the British Fashion Awards 2011 have been announced and the shortlist reads like a who’s who of the fashion world’s most influential, with Christopher Kane, Erdem and Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen vying for the most covetable prize: Designer of the Year.

Championing the nation’s finest, the British Fashion Awards 2011, which this year will take place on 28 November, recognises the development of new design talent whilst celebrating the fashion mavericks that put Britain on the fashion map.

New-comers J.W. Anderson, Mary Katrantzou and Peter Pilotto, who made the shortlist for the Emerging Talent Award for their ready-to-wear collections, are recognised alongside big-hitters Burberry, Stella McCartney, Tom Ford and Victoria Beckham, who all won nominations for the Designer Brand prize.

Victoria Beckham gains a second nomination in the Red Carpet category, cementing her status as a favourite with the A-list, as well as a bona-fide luxury designer with serious style credibility.

Georgia Jagger, Kristen McMenamy and Stella Tennant are nominated for the Model award, with hairstylist Guido Palau, stylist Katie Grand and producer Sam Gainsbury shortlisted for the Isabella Award for Fashion Creator - an award given to a fashion creative who inspires and influences the face of fashion.
